I am in love with bright pops of color, the luminous glowings of gemstones and natural pearls, and the shimmer and shine of silver and gold metals that have been worked and finished by hand.
I fabricate with all of my materials from start to finish. Many of the tools I use are custom modified which allows me to get the look and details that I want on any given piece. Minute details and deep, rich textures guide my processes from start to finish. I very seldom create and cast anything in multiples. I find the soul just isn't there with mass production. Working the way that I do leaves each piece as a one of a kind, heirloom quality item. Nothing can ever be duplicated the same way twice.
My intent as a jewelry designer/goldsmith is to create finely crafted jewelry in limited quantities that are each a unique, tactile little treasure. I like to think that the work itself is the start of an engaging, wonderful long story that gladly journeys along with the person it sparks that special connection with. I want my work to become more cherished the longer the pieces are owned, handled, worn and loved...and hopefully the story and the journey will continue on down a family line for generations to come.
